A focus on music and literature including input from Mackie Academy in Stonehaven and local primary schools.

In addition to requests, dedications and community news, Smith On Sunday features interviews with writers and promotes local talent, interspersed with music, poetry and stories. 
Elaine May Smith, is a former pupil of Mackie and is an accomplished writer and poet.

She has written a series of childrens' stories - "Hurricane Hilda" - which she is reading aloud especially for her listeners, and she enjoys writing personalised poetry for special occasions:
