Faith Matters

with Louisa Greenwell and her team

Sunday 3pm - 5pm

Mearn Faith Matters is your local show dealing with matters of faith in the Mearns.  We play a mixture of Christian music to please all ages from traditional hymns to modern rock gospel.  Ecumentical in outlook, the show is also composed of news. views and interviews of interest to all churches in the Mearns area.  During our first year, we have tried to get out and about to meet people in the Mearns, and most notably covered the 450th anniversary celebrations of the Scottish Reformation at Auchenblae Parish Church.  We have also interviewed such luminaries as the Very Rev Sandy MacDonald, former Moderator of the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland, and the late Right Reverend Doctor John Mantle, former Bishop of Brechin.

This year we aim to involve the churches more and to extend our commitment to broadcasting services from local churches of all denominations.  To this end we would welcome recordings of services edited to no more than 57 minutes in length..  We would also welcome CDs or other recordings of local choirs and praise or gospel bands. Mearns Faith Matters is presented by Louisa Greenwell.  Louisa is an Elder at Dunnottar Parish Church, and is  a member of Kincardine and Deeside Presbytery.  She holds a professorship of music and for many years taught music at various private schools including Glenalmond College in Perthshire. In her "spare" time she is a Divinity student at Aberdeen University.
